A New Mark for a Stronger Standard: Introducing the New Admiral Testing and Surveying, Inc. Logo

In industries where precision, trust, and technical authority are non-negotiable, visual identity is a promise.

Today, Admiral Testing and Surveying, Inc. (ATSS) proudly unveils its new logo, a bold and modern mark that represents not just who we are today, but who we are becoming. As ATSS expands its capabilities and footprint, our visual identity needed to communicate competence, reliability, and control in a glance.

As a sister company of Qualitest Inspection Services, and a proud member of the Asian Quality Services Consortium, this rebrand reflects ATSS’s evolution as a high-performance, forward-looking technical services firm serving critical industries across the Philippines.

Design That Speaks the Language of Trust

The new ATSS logo adopts a tech‑inspired, modern aesthetic, anchored by sharper, angular letterforms that signal structure, precision, and discipline—qualities that define professional surveyorship and inspection work.

The interlocked and stacked construction of the lettering reflects:

  • Integration of systems
  • Methodical processes
  • Strength through alignment

This design approach mirrors how our teams operate in the field: coordinated, accurate, and uncompromising.

Color with Purpose, Not Decoration

Every color choice in the new logo is intentional.

  • Navy Blue conveys authority, trust, and technical mastery—qualities expected from professionals responsible for compliance, quality, and safety.
  • Red represents decisiveness, strength, and responsibility—essential in risk-based inspections and critical assessments.
  • Yellow was refined deliberately to project maturity, credibility, and premium expertise, avoiding brightness in favor of depth and confidence.

Together, these colors align ATSS visually with national pride and industrial excellence, without compromising professionalism or restraint.

Aligned with Our Values—and Our Future

At its core, this new logo represents more than style. It reflects ATSS’s commitment to:

  • Corporate excellence
  • Objective assessment
  • Independent judgment
  • Continuous improvement

It signals readiness—for more complex work, deeper collaboration, and higher expectations. ATSS continues to operate under strict principles of quality and integrity, while strengthening its identity as a specialized, technically driven inspection and surveyorship organization.

Moving Forward with Confidence

A strong brand does not replace good work—it amplifies it.

The new Admiral Testing and Surveying, Inc. logo is a visual affirmation of the standards our engineers, inspectors, and surveyors uphold every day in the field.

It is a symbol of trust earned, competence proven, and a future built on precision.

Understanding DTI-BPS: Why It Matters to Importers in the Mechanical, Building, and Construction Sector

What is DTI-BPS?

The Bureau of Philippine Standards (BPS), under the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI), ensures that products—whether locally made or imported—meet safety, quality, and performance standards. For importers, this means navigating mandatory certification before products can enter the Philippine market.

Mandatory Certification Schemes: PS and ICC

– Philippine Standard (PS) Mark: For manufacturers whose products meet the Philippine National Standards (PNS).
– Import Commodity Clearance (ICC): For non-PS-certified products, issued per shipment and product after inspection and testing.

Why It Matters to Importers in the Mechanical, Building, and Construction Group (MBCG)

Products like steel, cement, plywood, ceramic tiles, and plumbing fixtures are subject to strict certification. These materials are critical to infrastructure and public safety.

Key Impacts:
– Non-compliance = no market entry
– Delays = financial loss
– Certification = trust and credibility

How Admiral Testing and Surveying Services Can Help

At Admiral Testing and Surveying Services, our surveyors specialize in the Mechanical, Building, and Construction Group. We offer:
– Pre-shipment inspections
– Product sampling and testing

ISO 9001:2015 Surveillance Audit 2020 Completed Seamlessly

Phase 2 of the ISO 9001: 2015 Surveillance Audit was conducted last November with positive results. Due to technical limitations, an onsite audit was required in order to complete the whole process.

Inspite of the pandemic, the auditors arrived on the sites on time. Thanks to technological advancements such as the utilization of Office 365 and a move to fiber connection, interviews with the organization’s members onsite and remotely were conducted seamlessly.

As with the virtual audit, the schedule took just half day While there are no nonconformities, a good audit always includes areas where improvements can enhance an already satisfying experience. It was, as always, an enriching experience, and an affirmation of the customer satisfaction and unwavering commitment to quality that we perpetually strive for.

QIS/ATSS Supports First ANCOP Virtual Global Walk

Through the years, QIS/ATSS has always been a proud supporter of ANswering the Cry Of the Poor(ANCOP)’s annual Ancop Global Walk (AGW). This year has been extra challenging, and was held virtually for the first time instead of the early morning walks made by throngs of supporters. Inspite of the changes brought about by the pandemic which affected businesses, this has not stopped the organization from giving a contribution in order to support scholars, who one day may contribute to a better society by shaping their future through education.

Remarkably, aside from deserving scholars, ANCOP also has the Cornerstone program, which aims to give weekly tutorials in partnership with some of the nation’s major universities, to the bottom performing public school students to reinforce their chances of securing their education in the longer term.

For this year, instead of an early morning program, the sponsors and supporters held walks in their own vicinities, followed by a virtual program on YouTube and Facebook Live highlighting the students that have been helped by the program as well as the sponsors worldwide. Virtual or actual, the organization strongly supports education for a better future not just for the students, but for society as a whole.

ATSS blazes past ISO 9001:2015 Surveillance Audit Stage 1

Admiral Testing and Surveying Services has completed Stage 1 of its ISO 9001:2015 surveillance audit last October 5.

It is true that this pandemic has not stopped us from providing our services and even gave us ways to test our agility as an organization. We have adjusted accordingly and subjected them to our latest ISO 9001 audit, whose 1st stage was conducted online.

We are proud to say that there have been no nonconformities with our Quality Management System and we even learned more ways to further improve our QMS as our commitment to serve our clients with reliable, honest, and professional surveyorship that’s as strong as the steel we inspect.

Stage 2 will cover our onsite activities which will also be audited against the latest Quality Standard. Stay tuned for more updates!

That Mysterious Industry of Third Party Surveyorship

Third Party Import Surveyorship is a service that not everyone knows of. Here we try to sum up with this often unheard of industry does.

Let’s put it this way – Third Party Import Surveyorship is the business of giving peace of mind. Importers naturally want to know that the condition of the items they imported are the same – as pristine, as mint, as many – as when it left the country of origin. If they are in the same good condition, well and good. You have a document in your hands assuring you and giving you that peace of mind that the volumes of items you ordered are well worth the money you paid for. But in times when they are shown to be short of what’s expected, then that document is also there to save you.

You see, the surveyor documents are those used to file claims for insurance. With a document in your hands, you have a fighting chance that you can get back your money’s worth when, one way or another, your import is not what they were supposed to be. So your friendly neighborhood surveyor saves the day, and your investment. Either way, you get something intangible as the surveyor does his or her vocation – peace of mind. With the service of surveyorship, you have eyes and ears as your imports land on the port.
